Thurles host a seven race card on Thursday with the first race due off at 1:30 at the county Tipperary venue.

The opening Tote Placepot Races 1 to 6 Steeplechase looks a wide open contest with the Willie Mullins trained Raptor likely to head the betting. Dessie Hughes Rivage D’Or won’t be too far away either but a horse that may be worth a second look is Margaret O Sullivan’s Indifference Curve who was last seen pulling up in Welsh National at Chepstow but if he comes back to his previous form he will be in the frame again. Barry Geraghty is booked to ride.

Gagewell Flyer looks to go off favourite as he makes his chasing debut in the Beginners Steeplechase. But a horse that could run a big race is Celtic Wish despite having to carry top weight. The Gerard Mullins nine year old has chasing experience and

may just be primed for the race. Philip Enright takes the ride.

Dare To Doubt looks the mare to beat in the Mares Beginners Steeplechase for Willie Mullins and Ruby Walsh but an interesting runner is the Charlie Swan trained Lonesome Dove who fell last time out at Cork but had a decent third in Novice company at limerick at Christmas. Brian Cawley claims a vital seven pound from her back.

Willie Mullins is represented by Hammersmith and Bold Banks in the Thurles.ie Maiden Hurdle and slight preference is for Bold Banks who can improve from his fourth at Limerick last time out.

Perfect Gentleman can follow up his Cork bumper win in the I.N.H Stallion Owners European Breeders Fund Maiden Hurdle with Patrick Mullins taking the ride. Mini Vic and Go All The Way look the dangers.

Immediate Response can follow up his Clonmel win last week in the Tote Trifecta Rollover Handicap Hurdle before the handicapper gets him harder. Recent Fairyhouse winner Clashnabrook looks the danger.

The concluding Fethard Flat Race for four year olds has only attracted five newcomers and a chance may be taken with the Thomas Mullins trained Top Othe Ra. Another Challenge may be the danger.
