The National Football League continues again this weekend with matches taking place on Saturday and Sunday.

Mayo V Dublin

Saturday night sees Dublin travel west to take on Mayo at Mc Hale Park in Castlebar. Mayo will be full of confidence after their six-point win over Laois in O’Moore Park, where the fit-again Conor Mortimer had to vie for the man-of-the-match award with Alan Freeman. Mortimer’s return after a full season out with a cruciate knee injury has been a major bonus for Horan and Mayo.

Dublin will be without Eamon Fennell for the trip west after his red card minutes after he came on in Croke Park, while Michael Fitzsimons is ruled out through injury and is replaced by Darren Daly. Dublin fans will be hoping that the Brogan brothers, Alan and

Bernard, although not named in the starting XV, can be called upon at some stage to lend some much-needed zest to a forward line that looked flat last week.

Dublin will be hungry for a win after last weekend’s defeat to Kerry but preference is for Mayo who has home advantage and seem to have developed a strong defence as well.

Verdict: Mayo

Kerry V Armagh

After recording a success over Dublin last weekend, Kerry plays host to Armagh at Austin Stack Park. Kerry’s win over Dublin was far from a perfect performance from Kerry, but there was enough there for supporters to pin their hopes for a successful year on. In scoring 1-14, Kerry registered 17 wides, but that is to be expected at this time of the year, especially with Colm Cooper out of the picture and Declan O'Sullivan just having returned to the squad.

Armagh face a daunting trip to Kerry but the Orchard County will be up for a win. Armagh has a very young side and they may learn from this match with preference for Kerry.

Verdict: Kerry

Donegal V Laois

Laois make the trip to Letterkenny on Sunday in what is a repeat of last year’s Division Two final but the midlanders face a tough task against a strong task against the northern side. A defeat for Laois would see them in relegation trouble after suffering a defeat to Mayo last weekend.

Donegal are without Martin McElhinney who is unavailable having suffered an ankle injury minutes after scoring Donegal’s goal in last Saturday night’s narrow defeat to Down.

Laois manager Justin McNulty will be hoping to gain revenge over Donegal but speaking to RTE Sport during the week about the defeat to Mayo, he said “It was a fair enough result, Mayo were deserving winners, and we have to go back to the drawing board to a certain extent to see how we produce a better display than we did today. The lads didn't go out to try and play as badly as the team did, but it's something we have to rectify and we have a quick turnaround now and we have a chance to rectify it next Sunday.”

Verdict: Laois
