That'll mean four games in four weeks, apparently. So what? That's exactly what both teams played in the World Cup, France even more as they reached the final.
If France cannot play the game on that date in Paris - and it would seem that they surely couldn't make the mistake of having it at night again, but you never know - then there are two options open to the Six Nations committee.
Either move the game to Dublin, where I'm sure the Irish would be happy to have home advantage for the clash, or award Ireland a walkover.
It's France's problem, this mess, and they seem to be doing as little as possible to sort it out.
It's therefore up to the Six Nations to step in and do the right thing, or risk further rebuke from the IRFU, and fans from both sides, who just want to see a game of rugby played.
The problem of re-issuing tickets is just one of many logistical issues that could and will crop up, but for now, the French just need to settle on a date.
Sort it out, lads.
