The opening Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Fillies Maiden has attracted twelve runners and it is likely that the Aidan O’Brien daughter of Danehill Dancer Delight will head the betting market. Lottie Do will be hoping to improve from her second last time out at Navan but an interesting newcomer may be the well bred Paul Deegan trained Flawless Fily.

Cork host a six race flat card this evening at the Mallow track with the first off to post at 5:10. The sprint track is not raceable and the 1m2f and 1m4f races will be tape started due to ground conditions.

Dundalk hosts an eight race all weather card tonight with the first race due off to post at 5:50pm at the county Louth track.

The opening Fillies Maiden has attracted eight runners and the John Oxx trained Zariyna is likely to g off favourite having finished fifth on her debut last November at the track. Johnny Murtagh is booked to ride the Aga Khan owned three year old. Others to note are the David Wachman trained Duntle with in form Wayne Lordan booked to ride and the newcomer Surreal who is trained by Frank Dunne.

The Mick Halford trained Cebuano reverts back to the flat having many placed attempts in bumpers and could be the one to follow in the Dundalk Stadium On Facebook Maiden with Shane Foley booked to ride. The Kevin Prendergast trained Opa Loca is now a non runner so Edward Lynam’s Diamond Daze look the main danger.

The Dundalk Stadium handicap for three year olds looks a wide open contest. Brog Deas will try to defy top weight after winning nicely at Gowran Park last week whilst a chance may be taken with the Edward Lynam trained Stagecoach. Sam James claims a vital five pounds off.

Choral Society likes it around Dundalk and may be given another chance in the Hen & Stag Packages At Dundalk Stadium Handicap whilst Harry Trotter makes his handicap debut and may be the one to watch following a nice maiden win back in January at the track for trainer David Marnane.

Aidan O’Brien and Joseph O’Brien can justify the short price with Betterbetterbetter in the Fillies Maiden having made a nice debut to finish second to Dermot Weld’s Princess Highway at Leopardstown. John Oxx’s Sinetta looks the each way value.

Mick Halford’s Coach Bombay wasn’t far off the pace last week and can follow up his win 2 weeks ago in the DKIT Student Race Night Handicap. Conor Hoban takes five pounds off with the main dangers looking like Word For Word and Hawkswood.

China One can follow up his maiden win in the Follow Dundalk On Facebook handicap for trainer Paul Deegan and jockey Chris Hayes. The main dangers look like Miracle Cure and the David Wachman trained Tannery.

Northgate looks the one to beat in the concluding www.dundalkstadium.com handicap but a chance may be taken with the Andrew Oliver trained Jazz Girl who made a nice seasonal debut when finishing seventh at Leopardstown last time out.

Dundalk hosts another all weather card tonight with the first of seven races due off to post at 6:20 at the county Louth track.

The opening two year old maiden has only attracted four runners. Jim Bolger saddles Einstein’s Folly who will be ridden by Ronan Whelan and he looks set to run a big debut race as this Whipper colt will be well schooled. Ger Lyons saddles Toccata Blue who finished a close fifth on debut whilst Versila Girl finished one place ahead in the same race. If Tommy Stack’s Dylanbaru acts to the Dundalk surface, he looks the one having finished a close fourth to Jim Bolger’s Dawn Approach on the opening day of the flat season at The Curragh. Wayne Lordan is booked to ride.

Seen as Friday is Good Friday and all the bookmakers are closed, Dundalk hosts a seven race flat card tonight with the first race due off to post at 6:20.

The opening Dundalk Apprentice Handicap has attracted twelve runners and it looks a wide open contest on paper. Queen Grace looks like a strong contender with Stephen Gray booked to ride whilst Samantha Bell is booked to ride the Paul Deegan trained Felina. An Saighdiur and Copper Dock should also be considered but Michael Browne’s Queen Grace can follow up on his close fourth last time out.

The opening Red Mills Maiden has attracted eight runners with the David Wachman trained Precious Dream likely to go off favourite. Edward Lynam’s Dimitar shouldn’t be ruled out of the equation whilst Paul Flynn’s newcomer Mobiliser might be worth an each way bet.

Dundalk hosts it usual all weather card with the first of eight races due off to post at the county Louth venue at 5:50. Unlike the United Kingdom, Ireland has no problems with the weather and racing is expected to go ahead at Naas on Saturday and Leopardstown on Sunday without any problems.
